DATA SCIENCE AND AI · RESEARCH AND INSIGHTS

LBS AI research into action

It all rests on research. Every year, our faculty publish over 100 papers and articles, many of which are featured in top-ranked business journals. Browse our latest research in AI and find out how the world of data and artificial intelligence is being shaped.

From classroom to campus

AI runs through everything we do at LBS - how our faculty teach, what the School builds, and how our students turn ideas into working products.

Negotiation practice, powered by GenAI

Kathleen O'Connor

A safe space for learners to practise real negotiations, test their instincts and get instant, personalised feedback - all at scale. Recognised with the MERIT Summit Award for Innovation in Higher Education, alongside organisations like Microsoft, Generali and Nespresso - LBS's second MERIT win in a row.

Built at LBS

Built to maximise the School's impact - expanding what our teams can do and freeing time for the work that matters most. Each platform is developed hand-in-hand with LBS teams, where user feedback shapes product direction and ensures every tool addresses real workflows.

ExecEye

Executive Education's adviser-facing intelligence platform - a filterable catalogue of all Open Programmes, a natural-language query assistant and a pathway recommender, grounded in approved LBS knowledge sources.

CurriculumAI

Benchmarks LBS programmes against peer schools - analysing curriculum structures, electives, themes, rankings and market developments - so curriculum and positioning discussions become more evidence-based and efficient.

PaperAI

An AI-powered repository for storing, querying, reviewing and categorising research papers and course documents across multiple taxonomies - including classification against themes and impact areas such as the SDGs.

FeedbackIQ

Brings together student, programme, course, faculty and candidate feedback into one consistent insight workflow - with AI summaries, evidence trails, cross-year comparison and report-ready outputs.

The LBS AI Lab

This is where the pipeline starts: a platform for students to experiment, prototype and develop real AI applications - and the route from idea to production.

1. Ideas from everywhere

Staff and faculty propose practical AI use cases that improve how we work, teach, research and support our community.

2. Students build MVPs

LBS AI Lab students turn the most promising ideas into working MVPs - hands-on practice with real School challenges.

3. Built for production

Our developers build the strongest ideas into production platforms, now in daily use across the School.

The student arm

As part of the lab, our students develop MVPs for real LBS challenges - hands-on practice in defining problems, understanding users, building with AI and iterating towards product-market fit. The student arm is led by Kostis Christodoulou, working with four product and technical mentors.
