Academic staff and postgraduate research student members of the SCONUL access scheme can borrow up to three books from our main collection for up to a fortnight.
You will need to apply via the SCONUL website, providing details of your institution and status. You should receive a confirmation email once your application has been accepted. Please bring a copy of this when you first visit our library.
You can only borrow once you have a library card. These may take several working days to be produced.
Contact the library for information on holiday hours and for details of when the SCONUL holiday access scheme is in operation.
Before you visit, check the Library Catalogue to make sure the titles you want are available.
Day tickets cost £30 per day for a temporary visitor's card.
People and organisations who aren't connected to London Business School can use the Library for an annual fee under our Library Partnership scheme.
Corporate users can carry out research using the Library’s print resources. Material can be photocopied within the rules of copyright (displayed next to the photocopiers) and may not be sold on.
As alumni of London Business School, you're welcome to visit the Library whenever you're in London. Just get a new ID card from the Security Desk at Plowden reception and bring it to the Library to register.
You can borrow up to five books at a time from the main collection and use a range of electronic resources, including ProQuest ABI INFORM and Business Source Alumni Edition. Even if you're not in London, you can still access some of our electronic resources via Portal. Find us under Services and Benefits in the Alumni Portal.
There’s much more to our library than borrowing books. Find out about our services for LBS students, alumni and faculty.
If you need help accessing our extensive collections, ask the Library’s information specialists for:
