LBS faculty in bestselling case authors list for 2024-25

Herminia Ibarra, Aneeta Rattan and Nader Tavassoli have been named as bestselling case study authors by The Case Centre

London Business School Bestselling Case Authors Herminia Ibarra, Nader Tavassoli and Aneeta Rattan

Three London Business School faculty have been named among The Case Centre’s Top 50 Bestselling Case Authors for 2024-25.

Herminia Ibarra, Charles Handy Professor of Organisational Behaviour, appears in the Top 50 list for the seventh consecutive year, this year at Number 17. Her top three bestselling case studies during the 2024-25 academic year are: Satya Nadella at Microsoft: Instilling a Growth Mindset; Margaret Thatcher; and Jean-Philippe Courtois at Microsoft Global Sales, Marketing and Operations: Empowering Digital Success.

Herminia has won two prizes at The Case Centre Awards and Competitions: the Overall Award in 2020 for her case, Satya Nadella at Microsoft: Instilling a Growth Mindset co-authored with LBS colleague Professor Aneeta Rattan; and the Production and Operations Management category in 2024 for her case, Jean-Philippe Courtois at Microsoft Global Sales, Marketing and Operations: Empowering Digital Success.

Professor of Marketing Nader Tavassoli, at Number 24 this year, has appeared in the Top 50 Bestselling Case Authors list since the ranking’s inception nine years ago. His top three bestselling case studies in the last year are: Dollar Shave Club: Disrupting the Shaving Industry; Red Bull Spreads Its Wiiings; and Red Bull: The Anti-Brand Brand.

Nader has won five times at The Case Centre Awards and Competitions. His Red Bull: The Anti-Brand Brand case won the Marketing category in 2009, and the Overall category in 2010. In 2017, he won the Strategy and General Management category with Nespresso: What Next?. In 2021, he again won the Overall category with Dollar Shave Club: Disrupting the Shaving Industry. In 2025, Nader won the Marketing category again, with Red Bull Spreads Its Wiiings.

Aneeta Rattan, Professor of Organisational Behaviour, appears in the Top 50 list for the second consecutive year, this time at Number 34. Her best-selling case studies include Satya Nadella at Microsoft: Instilling a Growth Mindset, the Overall winner at The Case Centre Awards and Competitions 2020; Ros Atkins and the 50:50 Project at the BBC (A); and Ros Atkins and the 50:50 Project at the BBC (B).
