Jonathan Braude

Jonathan has over 45 years of experience as a journalist, in national newspapers, radio, TV and specialist magazines. His subjects have ranged from riots and disasters, international diplomacy and defence to agriculture policy and finance. He’s lived in and reported from Brussels, Berlin, Hong Kong and London, as well as travelling extensively in Asia, including China. He was on the staff of the South China Morning Post, Radio Television Hong Kong and Agra Europe; and have been a regular freelance reporter for The Times, The Daily Mail, Voice of America, Radio New Zealand and many others. He covered private equity, venture capital and M&A for the specialist U.S. publication The Deal from London, and now works as a freelance business writer. In his podcast, PE in a Pod, he interviews personalities from the private equity and venture capital industries and their professional advisers.

His column London's Business won the Society of American Business Editors and Writers' Best in Business award in 2015.

Jonathan studied Modern & Mediaeval Languages at Jesus College, Cambridge. In addition to being fluent in German and French, he speaks everyday Hebrew, and can read his way out of trouble in Spanish and Dutch.

In the last couple of years, Jonathan has been turning his hand to novel writing.
