Bio:
Erfan Amani Bani holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Optimization Methods from Sharif University of Technology. His research has been published in journals such as Computers & Operations Research, Computers & Industrial Engineering, etc. He also contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for leading journals, including Transportation Research Part E, Information Sciences, and IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, among others. During his studies, he gained extensive experience as a Teaching Assistant for several courses. His primary research interests include operations research, optimization, machine learning, and reinforcement learning.
He has professional experience as a Senior Operations Analyst at Snapp! the largest ride-hailing and delivery platform in Iran, where he applied optimization and data-driven methods to improve large-scale operations. Additionally, he co-founded FLYTZI, a logistics startup focused on developing optimization engines for routing and parcel loading in mid-mile delivery networks.
