Sukhun Kang wins Sir James Ball PhD Prize

London Business School PhD student in in Strategy and Entrepreneurship Sukhun Kang (pictured) is the winner of the 2022/23 Professor Sir James Ball PhD Prize.

The Prize has been awarded in recognition of Sukhun’s excellent performance in the Programme and the potential impact of his research.

Praised as an exceptional scholar, Sukhun works on innovation and entrepreneurial finance and his research has advanced the understanding of search and innovation in the context of the pharmaceutical industry, specifically oncology.

Professor Niro Sivanathan, PhD Programme Chair, commented that the Panel had agreed that Sukhun was a very worthy winner of the Professor Sir James Ball Award.

“The Professor Sir James Ball PhD Award, pays tribute to our late School Principal (Dean) – a passionate innovator and pioneer who loved surrounding himself with bright minds. Sukhun certainly fits into that category and we are delighted that he has been presented with this award.’’
