One of the School’s most successful alumni, Jim made this significant donation to secure the School’s home in Regent’s Park for the next 125 years. In recognition of his gift and his personal achievements, London Business School has named its Grade II listed building at the heart of its campus the Ratcliffe Building.

Commenting on the milestone, Sir Andrew Likierman, London Business School said: “We are delighted to have Jim back on campus to commemorate this special day in securing the School’s future for the next 125 years. His support for the School has been as transformational as his leadership of INEOS”.

The Hon. Apurv Bagri, Chairman of the School’s Governing Body and Managing Director of Metdist Group, added: “Over 91 million people will pass through this building in the next 125 years; future business leaders and aspiring entrepreneurs, all seeking to have a profound impact on the way the world does business, and the way business impacts the world. I know that Jim’s generosity will inspire all in our community to support the future of London Business School”.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held shortly after London Business School completed its first ever comprehensive fundraising campaign, which achieved more than £125 million and 124,000 volunteer hours in just three years to support scholarships, faculty, research and a new building.
