The Russian economy is exhibiting unmistakable signs of fatigue, a reality the Kremlin is increasingly being forced to confront.

This is the view of London Business School's Dean, Sergei Guriev, who has just been admitted to the Group of Thirty.

The Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 which is currently being held in Rome, the prospects for a BRICS currency to rival the USD, the possibility of a recession in Russia, and the announcement of a new member of the distinguished The Group of Thirty. These were some of the topics discussed on this morning's CNBC's 'Europe Early Edition' with CNBC's news anchor Silvia Amaro who was in discussion with the Dean of London Business School, Sergei Guriev. Guriev has recently joined the Group of Thirty, an international body of financiers and academics which aims to deepen understanding of economic and financial issues and to examine the consequences of decisions made in the public and private sectors.
