My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Knowing whether London Business School was the right fit for me and whether I was the right fit for the School.

About me: I am an MFA programme student at London Business School, an Inspire Women in Business Scholar and a Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Merit Scholar, having held the latter since my undergraduate studies.

As the first woman in my family to pursue higher education, I learned to create direction where no blueprint existed. That mindset shaped the choices I made before London Business School.

I studied Economics and Business Administration in Frankfurt, Germany, spending a semester at the University of Sydney in Australia, and gaining experience across M&A and investment banking, including at a leading global investment bank. Working on transactions showed me how rigorous analysis and judgement shape decisions, confirming my ambition to build a career in investment banking in London.

I chose London Business School as my next step because it combines that ambition with a community of different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences that challenge how I think. I hope to engage with the Private Equity and Venture Capital Club, Women in Business Club and First-Generation, Low or Intermediate-Income (FLII) Club to deepen my investment perspective, support women in finance and make opportunities more accessible to students without established networks.

That commitment already shapes how I contribute beyond finance through my mentoring of first-generation and socially disadvantaged students. I hope to leave London Business School better equipped to pursue my ambitions while making paths more accessible to others.

Three topics I can be approached about: Internships in investment banking; living alone for the first time; application process.
