My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Balancing my time between applications, GMAT and my undergraduate degree; as well as handling stress.

About me: I was born and raised in Cyprus before moving to London to study mathematics and statistical science at UCL. During my undergraduate degree, I developed strong problem-solving skills, but I wanted to complement them with a deeper understanding of finance. Having really enjoyed life in London, I knew I wanted to continue my studies here, and after attending the London Business School open day, the MFA programme felt like the perfect next step.

Alongside my studies, I gained experience in quantitative risk and, more recently, in global markets, where I was exposed to sales, trading and equities. Following companies, understanding what drives markets and seeing how investment ideas are formed particularly sparked my interest in asset management, which I hope to pursue in my career.

Outside the classroom, I have always enjoyed challenging myself through sports like horse riding and running, both of which I have pursued from a young age.

One description of London Business School that stayed with me is that you meet so many people here, that you end up with ‘a home in every country of the world’. I am excited to now be part of this community and would be more than happy to connect and share insights and my experience!

Three topics I can be approached about: Sports; travelling; things to do in London.
