About me: After completing a business degree in Ireland, I sought a challenge that couldn’t be found in the corporate world. This led me to join the Royal Marines Commandos. Over the past eight years, my career has taken me to over 20 countries and allowed me to work with and lead exceptional individuals in high-pressure, cross-cultural environments.

In my final role, I served in a specialist military unit, working on the prototype development and procurement of maritime drones to support special operations. Collaborating with scientists and industry leaders gave me my first real exposure to the private sector and opened my eyes to opportunities beyond the military.

I chose to pursue the MBA programme at LBS to build the commercial toolkit I need to complement my operational background and confidently transition into business. Post-MBA, I aim to pursue a career in consulting to broaden my industry perspective and sharpen my strategic thinking, while continuing to explore opportunities in the defence sector.

At LBS, I’m actively involved in the Military in Business and Sailing clubs and am looking forward to enjoying non-military hiking on the Kilimanjaro trek next year.

Three topics I can be approached about: Military candidates; non-traditional backgrounds; Irish candidates.
