My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Finding a clear way to connect my diverse experiences into one coherent story.
About me: Having spent my undergraduate years in Hong Kong, I was excited to move from Asia to London, one of the world’s leading financial centres, to experience a new academic, cultural and professional environment.
My experience so far has largely been in credit and capital markets. Through roles in corporate banking, distressed credit investing and debt issuance, I became particularly interested in how companies access capital and how banks and investors assess risk across different markets. At London Business School, I am continuing to explore these interests while gaining a broader perspective through the MFA programme.
Outside the classroom, I am always looking for new places to explore and have travelled to more than 15 countries. I’ve played the piano for over 20 years and enjoy discovering new music and podcasts that expose me to stories and perspectives very different from my own.
When I was applying to London Business School, I was fortunate to receive generous advice and encouragement from many of the School’s alumni. Their willingness to share their experiences gave me a much clearer picture of the School and the MFA programme. Becoming a student ambassador is my opportunity to give back, whether by helping prospective students understand the MFA, answering questions about life at London Business School, or simply sharing an honest perspective on the wider community.
Three topics I can be approached about: Masters application and choosing London Business School; careers and recruitment; student life, clubs and community.
