Conlaoch Wrede
- Programme: Masters in Financial Analysis
- Nationality: Ireland / Luxembourg
Education: Bachelors, IE University, Spain; graduated in 2025
Subject: Economics
Sector(s) of interest: Global Markets – Sales and Trading
My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Studying and taking the GMAT.
About me: I come from a small town in Luxembourg with a population of around 5,000 people. Despite this, global markets have always been my passion. Ever since a stock trading competition in high school, I knew a career in finance was for me.
I completed several internships throughout my undergraduate degree, most recently a sales and trading internship at Nomura. This internship crystallised a career on a trading floor as my professional goal. Hearing how others had successfully taken this path, I knew London Business School was the stepping stone to get there.
Beyond academics, you’ll likely find me in the gym, on a run, trying new restaurants, or reading science fiction or economics.
I know first-hand that choosing a masters is a significant financial and career decision. Speaking to someone who has been through it can make a real difference. Don’t hesitate to reach out.
Three topics I can be approached about: The admissions process; navigating London and moving abroad; MFA course specifics.
