About me:

I am a vice president at the Bank of New York Mellon (BNY), specialising in cash management solutions for global institutional clients with a focus on the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Over my career, I have worked at leading financial institutions in Korea, Singapore and now the UK, taking on roles across different products and functions. This non-linear journey has given me a strong technical foundation and a genuine appreciation for how different markets and cultures shape global finance.

Currently, I am pursuing the MiFPT programme at LBS. As a CFA Charterholder, I chose the MiFPT not only to sharpen my expertise but also to immerse myself in a truly global community.

At LBS, I am involved in a wide range of clubs, from the Student Association, where I serve as Treasury Officer, to industry-focused groups such as the Commodities and Investment Management Clubs, as well as regional clubs, including the Korea Club and China Club. I particularly enjoy engaging with peers who bring unique perspectives from every corner of the world.

My career has never been a straight line. Each pivot required resilience, adaptability and continuous learning. These experiences have shaped how I approach challenges and motivate me to mentor others navigating career or geographic transitions.

Beyond work and study, I am passionate about travel, discovering new cuisines and community initiatives – I previously co-led financial literacy and career support programmes for young single mothers in Seoul.

Fluent in English, Korean and Mandarin, with a touch of Cantonese, I thrive on connecting across cultures and meaningful conversations. I have had the privilege of living in Seoul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur. Today, I am happily based in London and am a proud cat dad to a rescued Siamese, making the journey with me.

Three topics I can be approached about:

Travel and culture; banking and finance; settling in London; anything LBS-related – from applications to life on campus.
