My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Balancing my final semester, work commitments and application preparation while managing doubts about the strength and fit of my application.
About me: I am from Saint Petersburg, Russia, but I spent my childhood on the Gold Coast in Australia. I completed my undergraduate degree in Vienna, where I first arrived on exchange but loved it so much that I transferred to continue my studies there. In Austria, I became passionate about studying female leadership and focused my thesis on the soft power of women leaders in the business and political arenas.
Through my internships and project work during my time in Austria, I gained experience in social impact consulting, project management and marketing.
Most recently, I was both VP and creative lead for a student development organisation that served as a launchpad for incoming students for their future careers and studies. All my work emphasised people and communication – something I greatly enjoy and hope to maintain in my future career.
I joined LBS because of its uniquely diverse and dynamic community and the incredible opportunity to learn and grow alongside it – not only during my time in London and Shanghai, but well beyond.
Outside of studying, you’ll likely find me with a book in hand, picking up another language (currently Spanish) or planning my next trip.
Three topics I can be approached about: Application; personal experiences at LBS and Fudan; insights from my experiences beyond LBS.
