My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Realising that I was more than just my grades. Coming from a quantitative background, I initially thought scores mattered most, but I later recognised that my experiences, interests and achievements outside the classroom were just as important.
About me: Growing up in Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong as a third culture kid, I’ve always been drawn to new places, people and perspectives. I’m originally from Singapore and later moved to the US, where I studied business analytics and information management at Purdue University.
Throughout university, I became increasingly interested in how businesses use data and technology to solve real-world problems. Before joining London Business School, I spent the summer as a business analyst intern at Accenture in Singapore, building on previous internship experiences across wealth management, fintech and consulting.
After completing my bachelors, I wanted to broaden my business and analytical skills before starting my career. London Business School felt like the perfect place to do that, particularly because of its incredibly international community and the chance to learn from people with such diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Outside the classroom, you’ll usually find me listening to music, songwriting, singing or experimenting with a new baking recipe. I’m excited to be a student ambassador and look forward to sharing my experience, answering questions and helping prospective students get a feel for what life at London Business School is really like.
Three topics I can be approached about: Applying to London Business School; navigating internships as an international student; student life and finding your community at London Business School.
