Stephanie Chen

Dr Stephanie Chen is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at London Business School. Prior to joining LBS, she was a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She earned an AB in Psychology from Princeton University (summa cum laude) and a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from New York University. Her prior experience includes working as a consultant for ZS Associates where she helped clients with a wide range of sales and marketing issues.

Dr Chen conducts research on the psychological processes that underlie decision making and consumer behaviour. Her research has been published in top journals such as the Journal of Consumer Research, Psychological Science, and the Journal of Experimental Psychology: General. She is a member of the Journal of Consumer Research's editorial review board.

Dr. Chen teaches both master's- and PhD-level courses, combining academic rigor with real-world insights to inspire critical thinking and innovation in the classroom. Recognized for excellence in teaching, she was voted runner-up for the Best Teacher Award by the 2025 MiM class, reflecting her commitment to student engagement and learning.
