Visiting Associate Professor of Accounting

Dr Lauren Reid's research focuses on audit regulation and its effects on audit quality and financial reporting. She examines the constraints on audit quality, the influence of corporate governance on financial reporting, and the implications of current and proposed audit regulation. Her work contributes to understanding the regulatory environment and its impact on organisational accountability and transparency. 

Dr Reid is a Visiting Associate Professor of Accounting at London Business School during the 2026/27 academic year. She serves on the Editorial Boards of Contemporary Accounting Research and Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, and regularly referees for various leading journals. Her publications appear in top-tier accounting journals, reflecting her expertise in audit regulation and financial reporting. 

Dr Reid joins London Business School from Wake Forest University School of Business, where she held the position of Associate Professor of Accounting. She will also be joining the faculty of King’s College London as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and previously held a faculty position at the University of Pittsburgh, bringing extensive experience in accounting research and education.
