Dr Helen Wang joins London Business School as an Assistant Professor of Management Science and Operations from Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.

Dr Wang's research interests focus on the intersection of empirical operations management, business analytics, and applied microeconomics. Her work spans various domains, including public sector operations, education, healthcare, and service operations, utilising data-driven methods such as causal inference, field experiments, applied machine learning, and natural language processing. Dr Wang’s recent work concentrates on identifying and addressing inefficiencies and disparities in education technology, artificial intelligence, childcare, and child welfare systems, aiming to enhance the well-being of the younger generation.

Her research has been published in flagship academic journals such as Manufacturing & Service Operations Management and The Antitrust Bulletin.

In her research, Dr. Wang has been working in close collaboration with universities, educational for-profits and non-profits, and child welfare alliances. She has consulted for companies in education, EdTech, and blockchain sectors.

Dr Wang began her academic career with a BA in Economics from Fudan University in China, followed by a PhD in Business Economics from the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan.
