Early Registration

16 December 2016

We encourage all students relocating to London to attend early enrolment. Not only is it a great opportunity for you to meet with some of your Sloan class fellows as well as the Programme and Admissions teams, there will be a session on adapting to student life.


Orientation Week

9 - 14 January 2017 

Orientation kicks off with welcome briefings and introductions to Sloan classmates. As part of Orientation, the Executive Leadership core course sees you work closely within a study group to enhance your understanding of group dynamics and your own role as both a leader and a member of a team.

Team Building activities will be built into the Orientation Week schedule. They are a great opportunity to help accelerate class bonding and cohesion in a fun environment.

OneTERM 1: Spring Term
16 January - 24 March 2017

During Term 1, the following core courses are taught:

  • Biography

  • Corporate Finance

  • Managing People and Organisations

  • Marketing

  • •Strategy

  • • Understanding Top Management

Classes are typically scheduled between 08:15 and 18:30 during the week. There are usually 6 sessions per week, each lasting 2 hours 45 mins. You also need to set aside plenty of time for skills sessions, private study, study group meetings, careers events, guest speaker and club events.

During Term 1, you commence your selection of electives from the elective portfolio offered at the School. The term will close with a class dinner.

27 March - 14 April 2017

TwoTERM 2: Summer Term
Core: 17 April - 30 June 2017 Optional Elective Week 22 - 26 May 2017

The Summer Term is a combination of core courses and optional electives. The following core courses are taught:

  • Global Business Environment
  • Biography
  • Management Accounting
  • Challenge is Corporate Governance

Optional Elective Block Weeks 22 – 26 May 2017

International Assignment 23 - 29 July 2017

The entire class undertakes a faculty-led overseas educational week in Silicon Valley.

ThreeTERM 3: Autumn Term End of August

– mid December 2017

From the end of August onwards, you have the flexibility to balance your elective choices with your reintegration back into the workplace**.

Term 3 consists of elective courses only, there are no core courses. Dates are determined by the individual elective schedule chosen by the student.

You can also access elective courses which run during the block week 8 – 12 January 2018.

Exam Board

February/March 2018

The Board of Examiners meet to review the academic performance of all students and to validate and approve the award of degree.

July 2018

Celebrate your time on the Sloan programme with a glass of champagne at the garden party on the front lawn of London Business School’s Campus overlooking Regent’s Park.
