  • Programme: PhD Programme in Organisational Behaviour

Education:

Master Of Business Administration (Osmania University)

Bachelor Of Commerce (Osmania University)

Bio:

Before joining the PhD programme, I was a pre-doctoral research associate at the Indian School of Business (ISB). I was also an Academic Associate (aka Teacher’s Assistant) at ISB for MBA and Exec MBA classes for which I received Academic Associate of the Year Award by two consecutive MBA cohorts. During college years I volunteered for AIESEC in India and Hyderabad Literary Festival, India. I was part of AIESEC (non-profit), Hyderabad Chapter, where I worked in Business Development to raise funds for AIESEC events and social initiatives such as Balakalakaar (art workshop for underprivileged school children). I also formed a team of volunteers from my MBA cohort to help organise the Hyderabad Literary Festival.

As a doctoral student, I am interested to explore if an individual’s background such as social class origins can influence underlying psychological processes that can affect achievements at the workplace. Social class disparities in achievements such as earnings gap and attaining management positions have been well documented. I aim to explore the mechanisms underlying such class-based differences in achievement as well as interventions to reduce them.
