School community digs deep for LBS Global Give day
LBS Global Give day smashes its 500-person participation target
The London Business School (LBS) community has answered the Dean’s call to support this year’s LBS Global Give day by raising £271,044, up 36% from 2016.
Donors from around the world gave generously during the School’s second annual fundraising event, which was launched by Professor Sir Andrew Likierman, Dean at LBS, in London on 4 April. The 24-hour fundraiser ended with 506 donors from 40 countries, a 43% rise compared to 2016.
“Once again our community showed incredible spirit by coming together to support the School and its ambitions,” said Susie Balch, LBS’s Associate Dean of Advancement. “Many thanks go to the LBS community – including alumni, students, faculty and staff – for their contributions.”
A social media campaign was held to raise awareness of LBS Global Give, from which the funding will finance scholarships for talented students. It will also help attract more world-class academics, fund ground-breaking research and go towards developing the campus.
