London Business School professor receives commendation

Freek Vermeulen recognised as an outstanding scholar in business strategy 


Freek Vermeulen, an Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School, has been commended with a ‘Theory-to-Practice’ award at a Strategy Summit for senior executives, entrepreneurs and academics, held at Vienna University of Economics and Business. 
The award was presented to Dr Vermeulen in recognition of his work as an outstanding scholar who has made an important contribution to providing business practitioners with profound new insights into important topics regarding strategy and innovation. Most notably, the award recognises Dr Vermeulen’s numerous activities to transfer current strategic thinking to practitioners using new media.

The commendation was agreed by an award committee, which included faculty from Vienna University of Economics and Business and senior executives from the Summit’s sponsor companies.
