Academy of Social Sciences awards Fellow status to Julian Birkinshaw

Julian Birkinshaw, a professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at London Business School, has been made a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences.

Professor Julian Birkinshaw has been awarded a Fellowship by the Academy of Social Sciences. The Academy is the premier body for promoting social science research in the UK, comprising 47 learned societies and a number of affiliated members, together representing nearly 90,000 social scientists. Julian is one of 33 new Fellows in 2015. The Academy has almost 1,000 Fellows, about 20 of whom work in the field of business and management.

Julian Birkinshaw, Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, London Business School says: “It is a great honour to be elected as a Fellow of the Academy. As the voice of the social sciences in the UK, the Academy provides a good platform to increase London Business School’s influence on the public and private sectors in the UK.”

Professor Birkinshaw is also a Fellow of the British Academy and the Academy of International Business.
