London Business School is launching its first ASEAN-specific Executive Education programme, designed exclusively for the ASEAN region, in partnership with regional management consulting firm SRW&Co. and targeted at senior executives.

The School will deliver the five-day ASEAN Global Leadership Programme 2016, in partnership with SRW&Co, at its London campus on the edge of Regent’s Park. The programme entitled “Unleashing the Potential of ASEAN Organisations: The Leadership Imperative”, will help senior ASEAN executives prepare for a new era of opportunity across the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), which is just weeks away from becoming a reality.

Sabine Vinck, Associate Dean, Executive Education, London Business School, says: “London Business School’s vision is to have a profound impact on the way the world does business, and the way business impacts the world. We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing it to life by supporting the development of an important and newly-formed economic community.”

SRW&Co. first offered its clients an ASEAN Global Leadership Programme in 2009 in collaboration with Judge Business School (Cambridge).

The programme, which was well received and attended by senior executives in the ASEAN countries, had been conducted annually in collaboration with other Ivy League business schools in China and USA. ASEAN Global Leadership Programme alumni now number 200 senior executives from the region.

The new programme, designed by London Business School, will address both the hard and soft dimensions of leadership as Cristina Escallon, Programme Director, London Business School, explains: “We have designed a unique programme in which participants can experience some of the best and latest thinking from London Business School faculty and contributors. We address leadership in a holistic way, looking at hard and soft dimensions, internal and external views of leadership, and leadership at the individual and the collective level. We mix theory with hands-on experience and look at the best of global as it applies to ASEAN.”

Daniel Wong, Chairman and Partner, SRW&Co., says: “We are excited to be working with a world class academic partner to offer our clients an innovative programme that addresses the specific challenges and opportunities ASEAN organisations will face in a new economic community.”

The customised Executive Education programme will see organisations from a diverse range of industries sharing insights and learning from each other, as well as from world-class faculty.

“There is a real appetite for peer-to-peer learning in ASEAN. This programme meets the desire for a learning experience that is specific to the region and expands executives’ networks and exposure to new ideas and practice,” Wong explains.

Enrolment for the ASEAN Global Leadership Programme 2016 is now open. The London Business School programme will take place from 26-30 September 2016.
