LBS team wins Hermes GPE Private Markets Challenge
Each year, the Hermes GPE Private Markets Challenge, organised in association with the Oxford Private Equity Institute, invites students from participating business schools to analyse a co-investment opportunity and present their recommendation to the Hermes GPE investment team. Hermes GPE is a leading private equity investor headquartered in London, United Kingdom. This year, the challenge tested entrants' ability to articulate, craft, and model a complex Leveraged Buy Out transaction, presented to the Hermes investments team.
The Challenge is now in its eighth year and attracted 50+ competing teams from London Business School, Oxford Said Business School, and Cambridge Judge Business School. Congratulations to our very own, Team NRJ, who represented London Business School and won 1st place in this year’s challenge. The winning team – comprising Masters in Financial Analysis students Joose Harju, Nina Ferrer-Eriksson, Reuben Schreiber – will get the opportunity to interview for a summer intern role within the Hermes investments team.
“I am extremely proud of our team for taking on the Hermes GPE challenge and standing our ground amongst the brightest young talent in Finance. We aimed to be stewards of London Business School and our hope is that we could inspire future LBS representatives to compete and stretch their abilities” – Reuben Schreiber MFA2023
