London Business School (LBS) has come first for international mobility in the FT's 2017 business school ranking for its Masters In Management (MiM) programme.

The School has also moved up in its overall MiM ranking, and is now in fourth place while LBS also ranks strongly for ‘aims achieved’; a measure of the extent to which graduates fulfilled their stated goals for doing a MiM.

Developed in partnership with top global recruiters, London Business School’s MiM programme equips students with a critical understanding of business, in particular the development of the adaptive mind-set and the business-ready practical skills required to stand out in today’s fiercely competitive marketplace.

Gareth Howells, London Business School’s Executive Director for the School’s MBA, MiF, MiM and MFA programmes, said that there was a well understood correlation between outward mobility and improved employment outcomes.

"London Business School has found that our students, studying in the uniquely international environment offered at the School, go on to have better careers and carry with them a global view and a far reaching breadth of insight and thinking. This then becomes their most valuable asset throughout their careers," said Mr Howells.

London Business School is ranked number one in the world for its international student body, with international students accounting for 97 per cent of the MiM class. It is also the top-ranked UK school, and the only UK school to feature in the top 10 of the world’s business schools.

The Financial Times’ MiM ranking is based on a relative assessment of the world’s top pre-experience degrees in general management. The ranking is calculated through a broad range of criteria including salary today, placement successes and international mobility.
