LBS partners with HSBC to launch new Wealth Academy
Wealth Excellence curriculum will attract and develop top industry talent

London Business School (LBS) is proud to partner with HSBC, as it launches a new Wealth Academy this autumn.
The partnership will see LBS deliver an accredited Wealth Excellence curriculum to the bank’s top-performing employees. LBS will bring its top-ranked executive education to wealth management professionals, offering them access to advanced learning and development opportunities.
Helen Kerkentzes, Associate Dean, Executive Education, London Business School said: “We are delighted to partner with and support HSBC’s Wealth Academy, by providing transformative learning that will empower the next generation of industry professionals and help them thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.
“This exciting collaboration reflects our longstanding partnership with HSBC and our shared commitment to shaping the future of wealth management, through our world class faculty and number one ranked executive education programme.”
The Wealth Academy is structured across three key pillars:
Starting with a Wealth Knowledge Hub – self-led online learning at different levels of expertise; followed by Wealth Live Learning – facilitated virtual and in-person workshops focused on customer-centricity, investment strategies and financial planning.
The Wealth Excellence Aspirational Programme will offer HSBC Relationship Managers access to a bespoke London Business School curriculum, overseen by its faculty and an invitation to attend the 2025 Wealth Global Symposium in China.
Lavanya Chari, Head of Wealth & Premier Solutions, HSBC International Wealth & Premier Solutions said “Rooted at the heart of this training framework is a commitment to provide world-class service to our customers around the world. As clients’ needs evolve, so must employees’ skillset. Those with the agility to respond to fast-changing customer needs will excel. HSBC recognises the power of people development, and we’re committed to helping employees reach their full potential.
“The Wealth Academy is one way we’re investing in our people – to provide colleagues with best-in-class tools that enable them to effectively manage customers’ wealth, and help our clients build the quality of life they seek. We’re delighted to be working with London Business School to deliver key aspects of our academy curriculum and look forward to welcoming our first cohort of Wealth Relationship Managers on board this autumn.”
On Monday 13 October, a special signing ceremony was held in the Bagri Hive, marking the launch of this unique partnership. The evening event featured inspiring opening remarks from Helen Kerkentzes and HSBC’s Lavanya Chari, followed by the formal contract signing. The event concluded with lively networking, giving guests the opportunity to connect with peers, senior leaders and London Business School’s distinguished faculty.
