'Great Economists' makes Book of the Year list
What lessons do 12 of the greatest economists have for the modern age?
The Great Economists by Linda Yueh has been selected as one of The Times newspaper's ‘Business Books of the Year’.
According to reviewer Rosamund Urwin, the London Business School (LBS) faculty member has “written a remarkably accessible primer” to 12 of history’s greatest economists, including Adam Smith, Karl Marx, John Maynard Keynes and Joan Robinson.
Yueh is Fellow in Economics at St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford and Adjunct Professor of Economics at LBS. She is also a former editor at Bloomberg TV and an ex-adviser to the World Bank.
In Yueh’s latest book, profiles are not just history lessons – they also draw connections between these thinkers’ work and some of the greatest challenges of our time, such as the rise of China, low wages and inequality.
