Two London Business School MBA students are targeting high-flying professional women as they launch their first fashion collection at a five-star hotel.
Designer and retailer The Fold, set up by the School's Cheryl Mainland and Polly McMaster, are unveiling a range which they claim will look good, travel well, be comfortable and allow professionals to go from the office to the night in style.
Co-founder Ms Mainland said: "Our launch collection covers work wear essentials - with a twist. We have juxtaposed soft tailoring and feminine details with edgy leather and exposed zips. Our dresses will easily take you from desk to client, day to night, London to Hong Kong."
Her business partner, Ms McMaster, said: "We saw a gap in the market with women's work wear and took the opportunity of being in business school to create a successful venture. Currently there is limited inspiration or creative design in women's work wear. It's boring to get dressed for work in the morning and we want The Fold to change that."
The collection, being launched at the Sanderson Hotel, will be available online and its marketing program will include pop-up events at major cities, including London and New York.
