Poets & Quants has named London Business School (LBS) students Alither Rutendo Paidamoyo Mutsago (EMBALJ2019) and Merlyn Gregory (EMBALJ2019) in its list of the ‘100 Best & Brightest Executive MBAs: Class of 2019’.

The annual list recognises some of the talented business people studying at the world’s leading business schools.

“They are the EMBAs who ‘personify excellence in their programs through their contributions to the class, academic performance, extracurricular involvement, professional achievement, personal intangibles, and unique personal stories’,” according to Poets & Quants.

Alither is an Economics Specialist at Georgetown University School of Foreign Services in Qatar and is the co-founder of agri-based export distribution start-up Yibuntu Growers Enterprise.

She said she chose to study at LBS due to the excellence of its strategy and entrepreneurship courses.

“They offered practical insights and knowledge into developing and growing strategic and viable business innovations that are dynamic and progressive,” she said.

“I believed that with LBS at my side, my ultimate goal, and essential steps leading to it, would become attainable! I have not been disappointed.”

Alither’s classmate Merlyn has a degree in audio engineering and also studied at Le Cordon Bleu. She is founder and Managing Director of Candour Energy and a Non-Executive Director at boutique consultancy Calash.

Merlyn said she discovered new business interests during her studies at LBS thanks to the teachings of Professor Andrew Scott.

“He awakened in me a profound fascination with macroeconomics. It made me wish I had spent my career as an economist,” she said.

Alither and Merlyn’s full profiles are available on Poets & Quants.
