Professor Jacqui Cole to highlight how combining predictive AI, algorithms and data science can discover new materials for the energy sector
London Business School EMBA London candidate Professor Jacqui Cole EMBALS2023 will deliver the prestigious Clifford Paterson Lecture 2020 at the Royal Society on 1 November 2022.
Professor Cole, who holds the Royal Academy of Engineering Research Professorship in Materials Physics at the University of Cambridge, received the 2020 Royal Society Clifford Paterson Medal and Lecture prize for developing new experimental methods that capture the light-induced molecular structure of materials, and molecular data-science methods that have led to her discovering light-absorbing materials for energy and telecommunications applications.
The prize is awarded “for outstanding contributions in the field of engineering.”
Following a two-year delay due to COVID-19, Professor Cole will use the Prize Lecture to highlight how combining predictive artificial intelligence, algorithms and data science can discover new materials for the energy sector.
Register to attend in person or join the lecture live online via the Royal Society’s YouTube channel.
