Donors raise more than £300k for LBS Global Give
The third annual 24-hour fundraiser was the School’s most successful yet
A passionate community of London Business School (LBS) alumni, students, staff, faculty and friends answered the call to support LBS’s third annual LBS Global Give, by raising more than £304,000 in 24 hours.
The fundraising event, which started at 12pm on 20 March and ran until 12pm the following day, saw 882 people from 58 countries giving to the School.
The total funds raised included a donation from a generous, anonymous alumnus who matched every gift pound for pound. Three additional challenges were held throughout the event to inspire more support. One anonymous donor contributed £10,000 after the School’s target to gain 800 donors within the 24-hours was met by the 12pm deadline on 21 March.
“We are absolutely thrilled by the response of the community, said Susie Balch, Associate Director of Advancement at LBS. “Huge thanks to everyone who made a gift and encouraged their networks to get involved.”
The funds raised support every area of the School, from scholarships and the student experience to faculty and research. This capital is critical to the School’s future.
