A landmark £25m gift from the David and Molly Pyott Foundation and David and Molly Pyott will rename London Business School's North Building

London Business School is delighted to announce a landmark £25 million gift from the David and Molly Pyott Foundation and David and Molly Pyott.
One of the largest philanthropic contributions in London Business School history, this gift reflects the longstanding commitment that David, a graduate of the MSc13(1980) class and the first alumnus to serve as Chair of the School’s Governing Body, and Molly have dedicated to LBS.
The gift also takes the School’s record-breaking Forever Forward fundraising campaign to over £170 million raised.
A lasting legacy in the heart of our Regent’s Park campus
In recognition of their exceptional generosity, our iconic North Building will be named as the David and Molly Pyott Building. The main gateway to LBS and a historic hub of the School’s global convening power, the soon-to-be transformed David and Molly Pyott Building will bring together students, alumni and business leaders from around the world.
When upcoming renovations are completed at the end of 2026, the Pyott Building will extend the footprint of our Executive Education programmes and strengthen our excellence in developing global business leaders throughout their careers.
Supporting future business leaders
David and Molly’s gift will also establish a major scholarship programme to attract talented MBA students over the next decade, enabling exceptional candidates to access a world-class business education at LBS.
Commenting on their gift, David and Molly Pyott say:
“London Business School has long held a special place for us. We have seen firsthand how LBS shapes careers and transforms lives, exactly as it did for David. We believe deeply that our gift will help LBS to unlock opportunities and achieve its full potential.”
An enduring commitment to the School
David, who became a Fellow of the School in 2006, joined the Governing Body in 2015, served as Deputy Chair from 2018 and became Chair in 2023. Over his many years of service and leadership at LBS, David, along with his wife Molly, has demonstrated profound commitment and deep care for the School’s continued success.
David and Molly made significant contributions to the School’s first campaign, Cause and Effect, naming the David and Molly Pyott Foundation Lecture Theatre (LT18-19) in Sammy Ofer Centre and creating the David and Molly Pyott Foundation Scholarship. They were also lead donors to the Sir Andrew Likierman Library.
Through the David and Molly Pyott Foundation, David and Molly support initiatives focused on education, healthcare and opportunity, including programmes that educate ophthalmologists worldwide, help young people access employment opportunities, improve support for people with disabilities, and advance the performing arts.
Dean Sergei Guriev says: “We are proud, humbled, and grateful to David and Molly for this transformational gift that is a powerful demonstration of a deep lifelong connection to London Business School and a strong vote of confidence in the School’s future. Generations of LBS students will be inspired by David and Molly’s remarkable personal journey and their lasting impact on business education, business, and society worldwide."
Emily A. Robin, Associate Dean of Advancement, says: “This exceptional gift reflects David and Molly's extraordinary commitment to London Business School. The David and Molly Pyott Building will stand as a lasting symbol of their belief in the power of LBS to transform lives, organisations and society.”
Savio Kwan MSc09(1976), Chair of the Forever Forward Campaign, adds: “David and Molly’s gift is a real inspiration for our global community. This is an amazing moment for London Business School and a massive step forward for our £200 million fundraising campaign.”
Please join us in celebrating and thanking David and Molly Pyott for their extraordinary generosity and lasting contribution to the LBS community.
