Alumni to celebrate a global meeting of minds

London Business School is celebrating its largest ever alumni event in over 90 cities across the globe

WAC 482 x 271

Worldwide Alumni Celebration (WAC) is the School’s annual celebration of its incredible network of 44,000 international alumni. Over the next few weeks, former students from America to Asia, will gather together and celebrate its community of diverse minds in their respective countries. This global event has grown from 31 cities in 2005 to over 90 cities this year.

Events can vary in shape and size from family picnics and formal dinners, to boat cruises and talks from faculty and other special guests. London Business School faculty will be talking about their research at a variety of WACs across the globe.

Susie Balch, Associate Dean, Advancement, London Business School, said: “Our Annual Worldwide Alumni Celebration is the one day a year when all alumni around the globe come together to celebrate their connection to LBS."

This year’s WAC in London is on 3 October, at the iconic Science Museum. Dean François Ortalo-Magné will be welcoming Rory Stewart MP, Hélène Rey, Lord Raj Bagri Professor of Economics, LBS and Dale Murray JEMBA2000 and CBE as guest speakers. Held shortly before the Brexit 31 October deadline, the event will focus on the future of business in the UK and the consequences for the British economy and business leaders.

Hosted and organised by alumni volunteers, celebrations will be held around the world.
