Alumna awarded female entrepreneur of the year
London Business School alumna Elizabetta Camilleri MBA2000 has been named female entrepreneur of the year in the 2013 Smarta100 Awards.
Elizabetta co-founded SalesGossip with fellow alumnus Emilio Sanz in the School’s Incubator programme last year. Commenting on the award, Elizabetta said: “Winning the Smarta100 award is not just an amazing feeling but it is further validation of the value that SalesGossip is providing for both Fashion retailers and customers out there. This next year is a really exciting one for us – we are focused on ramping up growth and making sure that SalesGossip is used by millions of customers across the globe.”
Sales Gossip gives users access to some of the best fashion and beauty deals around. They receive weekly personalised emails or smartphone alerts on the latest deals and sales in 850 stores. SalesGossip was also voted the 12th best website for saving shoppers money by The Times this year.
Prior to co-founding SalesGossip, Maltese born Elizabetta worked for eDreams.com, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Orange and Gartner.
The annual Smarta100 Awards highlights the most resourceful, inspiring and disruptive enterprises in the UK. Smarta says the UK has a huge number of inspiring female entrepreneurs and the winners of the award are some of the most inspiring women in business.
