Alessandro Vergano, the new CEO of global interior design business Tom Dixon, is setting his sights on expanding the company’s lighting, furniture and home accessories brands globally.

The London Business School (LBS) graduate will work closely with Tom Dixon OBE, the company’s eponymous founder and creative director.

“I’m so thrilled to join this celebrated brand and to be on this exciting journey with Tom,” Vergano said following his appointment.

My ambition is to expand Tom Dixon to the far corners of the world, reaching more people and transforming everyday spaces into something truly extraordinary.”

Before joining Tom Dixon, Vergano was chief marketing officer of Swarovski. He also spent 10 years in various international roles at Proctor & Gamble, and managed global businesses for Hugo Boss fragrances and Max Factor cosmetics.

Vergano has a degree in business administration from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) and an MBA from LBS.

Dixon is an award-winning self-taught designer who started designing furniture in his early 20s after a motorbike accident. He used his welding skills, developed while repairing his bike, to create the S-bend chair.

Since becoming a designer in 2002, Dixon has created a global interior design brand with operations in New York, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles and Tokyo.
