My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Preparing for the GMAT.
About me: Growing up in Gamarra, the heart of Peru’s garment industry, ignited my passion for business. If you look it up, you’ll find a dynamic environment where entrepreneurs compete side by side. This unique experience shaped my perseverance and adaptability in approaching challenges.
From a young age, I helped my parents with our business during weekends and especially busy periods like Christmas, working more than 14 hours a day. That effort enabled me to attend one of Peru’s top business schools and become my family’s first-generation university graduate, witnessing first-hand how education can truly change lives.
Before joining LBS, I worked as an investment research analyst at Prima AFP, a leading Peruvian pension fund, where I analysed equities and corporate bonds.
I chose to pursue the MiM programme at LBS to broaden my skillset and practical experience in a global environment and to be part of an intellectually curious network that will both challenge and support me for life. I recognise its emphasis on peer learning and cultural diversity as an incredible source of growth.
If you have questions or need advice about the admission process, please feel free to contact me.
Three topics I can be approached about: Application process; moving into a new industry; entrepreneurship.
