About me: Ubi grew up in Namibia and is a South African chartered accountant with a degree from the University of Cape Town. After graduating, she took up an opportunity to join the Deloitte office in London where she worked in the audit and corporate finance advisory divisions. She worked across a range of clients, including financial services, retail, technology and infrastructure. Ubi is passionate about addressing gender inequality and was an active member in the Women’s Network Committee at Deloitte where she was able to initiate programmes to provide support for women. She plans to continue to address inequalities as a student ambassador at LBS.

Ubi decided to join London Business School because of the diversity in the MBA programme, and the endless opportunities the School has to offer from its dedicated Career Centre, to the global experience programme. She was also motivated to further her knowledge in financial disciplines and network with inspiring people who join the cohort. Ubi was fortunate to receive a Laidlaw Women’s Leadership Scholarship and is open to talk to women about the Laidlaw Fund and the opportunities it has to offer.

In her spare time, Ubi enjoys cycling, swimming, Latin American ballroom dancing, trying new restaurants with friends and going to the theatre.

Three topics I can be approached about: Life at LBS and in London; corporate finance; anything Africa related; Laidlaw Foundation
