Shira holds a bachelor’s in Mathematics and Economics and a Masters in Financial Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Before joining London Business School, she worked in the Israel Ministry of Finance. She was part of the global debt capital markets and FX transactions department, responsible for issuance of both public and private debt offerings, planning and execution of hedging transactions, and managing contact with investors and credit rating agencies.
Prior to this, she worked as a data analyst at an Israeli high-tech company, and as a linguistics analyst in the Unit 8200 elite intelligence unit in the Israel Defence Forces. Shira decided to pursue a Masters in Finance at LBS to expand her financial knowledge, develop an international perspective on today’s financial markets and enjoy London with classmates from diversified geographic backgrounds. She is the recipient of a Masters in Finance Merit Scholarship.
In addition to being a student ambassador, Shira forms part of the Executive Committee of the LBS Israel Club, as a trek leader of the 2020 LBS Business Trek to Israel. She has also joined the Women in Business, Military in Business, Finance and Investment Management clubs. In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, drawing, running and playing the piano.
