About me: I was born and raised in Japan and had no international experience until I studied abroad at a US university during my time at the University of Tokyo. This broadened my perspective and sparked my interest in pursuing an MBA.
Prior to LBS, I spent nearly three years at Bain & Company in Tokyo, focusing on corporate strategy, operational improvements and business due diligence, primarily in the manufacturing and private equity sectors.
My motivation for pursuing an MBA at LBS was to strengthen my leadership skills in a global environment. LBS provides an ideal platform for learning how to collaborate with people from different backgrounds. Additionally, its extensive opportunities in finance through electives, clubs and competitions aligned with my professional interests and were key in my decision to apply.
The core courses at LBS have provided fresh perspectives, even in areas where I had prior knowledge from my studies in economics and consulting work. This has allowed me to revisit familiar concepts with deeper understanding.
Outside of academics, I enjoy travelling and exploring new cultures.
