Phuong Nguyen

Phuong achieved his undergraduate degree from the Banking Academy of Vietnam. Before joining London Business School (LBS), he worked for the last seven years at the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, one of the fourth largest commercial bank in Vietnam. He was an Executive Assistant to the Chairman and helped the Board of Directors to manage most of the critical issues in the bank.
Phuong decided to join LBS to enlarge his international network, broaden his knowledge in finance and grab new development trends in the banking and finance sector, especially financial technology and data analytics. He is impressed with the diverse community of his classmates, with students coming from various different countries and industry backgrounds. Furthermore, he truly loves to learn from the LBS world-class and dedicated faculty who can give him judicious advice and provide useful insights into his concerns.
In addition to being a Student Ambassador, Phuong is a Chevening scholar who is committed to foster cross understanding and cultural exchange between Vietnam and UK. He enjoys photography, cooking and travelling, and hopes to visit ten EU countries during his studying at LBS.
