My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Researching schools while preparing for the GMAT, studying and completing an internship.
About me: I was born and raised in Porto, Portugal, where I was part of one of the first batches of students for a first-of-its-kind double bachelors programme in Portugal. This saw me end up as a graduate in both Business Management and Law.
Through my years of undergraduate studies, I came to realise my passion for finance and I wanted to find an occupation in which I could leverage my multidisciplinary background. I started to see my career plan of working in the domain of private equity take shape. However, I knew that in order to maximise my chances I needed to attend a top European masters programme. Thankfully, the Masters in Financial Analysis at LBS offered the prestige, multidisciplinary foundation and practical character that I was looking for.
Studying a masters at LBS was one of the factors that allowed me to secure a summer internship (and later convert it into a full-time offer) at the leading and most prominent private equity firm in Portugal.
In my free time, you can find me involved in a multitude of sports (especially playing volleyball and watching football) and watching shows and movies.
Three topics I can be approached about: Choosing a masters programme; LBS; living on a budget in London.
