About me: Nozomi previously worked at McKinsey & Company in the Tokyo office, supporting global clients, mainly in private equity and healthcare, on strategy/M&A and corporate finance projects.

Through her work, Nozomi found that her ultimate career aim is to become an M&A professional to help increase inorganic growth within mature markets worldwide – including in Japan – where organic growth is less expected, by contributing to increasing M&A success rates. In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary for her to learn how to support clients optimally by combining typical methods used at McKinsey with an enhanced academic understanding of capital markets and impacts of M&A. Additionally, she needs to develop her leadership skills to support clients effectively through challenging deals.

Nozomi chose to study the Masters in Finance at LBS to cultivate the diverse perspectives and skills necessary to conduct successful M&A by gaining broad viewpoints of all stakeholders involved and the characteristics of various markets worldwide.
