My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Overcoming the initial mental block was tough – between essays, GRE and IELTS prep, I was overwhelmed by doubts about whether I could do it.
About me: I grew up living in fourteen different cities across Pakistan, a childhood that taught me to adapt quickly, read the room intuitively and find connections in unfamiliar places. Whether it was learning new dialects or navigating remote towns, I developed a deep empathy for people from all walks of life and a fascination with the systems that shape their experiences.
This curiosity led me into the public healthcare consulting sector, where I worked on large-scale reform programmes to strengthen healthcare delivery and improve data systems across underserved regions. Collaborating with governments and international partners, I contributed to initiatives that modernised health reporting and expanded access to essential services. It was a crash course in problem solving on a national scale and showed me how thoughtful interventions can create lasting impact.
Outside of work, I have a strong adventurous streak. I love anything that gets my adrenaline pumping, be it trekking along rugged mountain trails to snow sports and rollercoasters that promise at least one upside-down loop. I have also been riding horses since childhood; equestrian sports like tent pegging and horseback racing have taught me discipline, patience and a unique kind of fearlessness.
If you spot someone lighting up at every dog or cat on the streets of London, that’s probably me (currently missing my chaotic crew of two cats and three dogs back home). Cooking is my creative outlet (occasional kitchen disasters included) and fitness is my daily reset, whether it’s a run or a strength session.
Looking ahead, I am excited to deepen my expertise in healthcare consulting, healthtech and impact consulting, fields where I can combine my experience in systems reform with my passion for improving health outcomes.
Three topics I can be approached about: Application; life in London and the job market; navigating as an international student.
