My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Coming from Pakistan, overcoming self-doubt on whether I could compete on the global stage, being the first in family to do so.
About me: My journey has been shaped by a love for numbers, problem solving and people. I graduated in Accounting and Finance from IBA Karachi, which gave me a strong foundation in business and analytical thinking.
Professionally, I’ve worked across fintech, FMCG and eCommerce. At Daraz, an Alibaba subsidiary, I moved into a regional finance business partner role, driving strategic pricing and revenue initiatives across five countries. The fast-paced, data-driven environment reinforced my belief that analytics is at the heart of business impact.
Beyond work, I’m an avid fan of fighter jets and aviation. I enjoy playing FIFA on PlayStation, a hobby I’ve kept since childhood that keeps my competitive spirit alive.
Looking ahead, my goal is to combine finance, analytics and strategy in consulting, and eventually help unlock the growth potential of emerging markets like Pakistan.
Three topics I can be approached about: Applying to LBS from South Asia; careers in finance and consulting; balancing academics and personal growth.
