My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Articulating my unique experiences and goals clearly amid highly competitive applicants.
About me: Before joining the MiM programme at LBS, I studied Financial Management at Fudan University in Shanghai. During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to intern at global firms including Boston Consulting Group and Yum China, where I gained exposure to consulting, strategy development and corporate social responsibility projects. These experiences sparked my strong interest in the consumer goods and retail industries, where I aspire to build my long-term career.
I also conducted academic research on digital transformation and innovation for Chinese listed companies, which trained me in data analysis and critical thinking.
Beyond academics, I have been an active volunteer, especially in education-related initiatives, which deepened my awareness of social inequality and the role of businesses in driving positive change.
At LBS, I hope to further develop my consulting skills, expand my global perspective and explore how corporations can collaborate with non-profits to address social and sustainability challenges.
Outside of studies, I have been playing the flute for more than a decade and enjoy watching films (and translating professional reviews). I love exploring new cultures through travel – I have visited more than 16 countries so far. Musicals are another passion of mine and I am always excited to discover a new performance in London.
Three topics I can be approached about: Application process; adapting to life in London; career exploration in consulting and consumer goods.
