Before joining London Business School, Martin worked as a multi-asset trader in one of the largest pension funds in Mexico. He was part of a talented team that overviewed more than US$27bn AUM while offering the highest returns within the industry. In addition to his undergraduate studies at Escuela Bancaria y Comercial, he holds two diplomas from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México and has furthered his studies in finance, receiving the designation of Aresty Scholar by The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Martin decided to pursue the Masters in Finance at LBS because he wanted to sharpen his technical skills alongside his soft skills, and was amazed by the powerful tools that LBS provides to its students to develop both. He wanted to build a global network and to have the opportunity to work with brilliant people of different geographical and professional backgrounds, so LBS was his first choice.
In addition to being a student ambassador, Martin is an active member of the Investment Management Club, Snow Club and Rugby Club. In his spare time, he enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities and reading non-fiction books.
