My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: Studying for the GMAT while working in a consulting firm.
About me: Born and raised in Portugal, I completed my bachelors in industrial engineering at the University of Lisbon, alongside an exchange semester at the University of Chile in Santiago. Living abroad sparked my interest in international environments, new cultures and learning new languages, and strengthened my desire to pursue an international education.
Before joining London Business School, I worked in technology consulting, gaining experience at the intersection of data, technology and business. This made me want to complement my engineering background with a stronger understanding of business and decision-making, making the MAM programme a natural next step. Since joining, I’ve been drawn to the strategy and management consulting space, particularly in sectors like energy, and I’m looking to build on my consulting background in that direction.
Outside academics, I am a curious and social person who enjoys travelling, meeting new people and going out for a drink in London with friends. I am also a passionate football fan and a proud Benfica supporter!
