My greatest challenge when I applied to business school: The fear that I would not fit in or that I was not good enough.
About me: In the past, I have worked as a researcher at the University of Geneva within the Geneva School of Economics and Management and as a Consultant for a US-based company specialising in sales compensation plans.
Growing up, I lived in different parts of India and loved travelling. So far, I have visited more than 22 states in India and 8 countries in Europe on solo budget trips. I always wanted to learn new things, be in new environments and learn new languages, which has helped me shape the person I am today. I love theatre and have been actively directing plays for the last 10 years.
London is such a diverse and global city and there is always so much to experience and learn from fellow peers and colleagues. At LBS, I am part of the Out in Business Club, FLII club, Social Impact Club and the Theatre Club.
Even though I never actually thought I would attend business school, LBS gave me a new perspective on how I could map my career trajectory and use my education, resources and ideas to make a more equitable world in whatever small way I can.
Three topics I can be approached about: Being a first-generation/low-income student; career related questions; the programme and academics at LBS.
